Blackmagic Design’s Third Birthday Party

Singapore, January 2007 – The post production division of Blackmagic Design celebrated its third birthday in definitive style with over 350 guests packing the recently expanded Singapore facility for a spectacular night of audio-visual fun and frivolity. Guests from across the media industry including international advertising agencies, production houses and regional cable networks were wined and dined to the superlative sounds of house and Detroit techno spun by BMD’s resident DJ Leon C and guest DJs KC and Rachel.

Blackmagic Design took the opportunity of this gathering of industry elite to announce the latest additions to it’s impressive infrastructure including the da Vinci Resolve data grading system and Cintel Ditto film scanner. This leading edge technology integrates with the company’s existing film scanning, telecine and VFX capabilities, making Blackmagic Design the first and only facility in Singapore to offer a complete DI workflow for commercials and feature films.

Revelers partied on well into the night, catching up with old friends, making lots of new ones and proving once again that the creative media industry are not shy in having a good time!

In one TVC, creatives Isaac and Selleh depict a video call between a boss on her yacht at sea and senior execs in the office. In keeping with the product’s spotlessly clean image, Director Francis Tan from Square Box Jakarta adopted a minimalist approach for the recent commercial campaign by Dentsu Indonesia for Biore ‘Whitening Scrub’. ‘Our intention was to inject a new lease of vitality to the Kao Biore identity.
