NAB 2007 - Las Vegas

NAB 2007 was the most amazing show for Blackmagic Design, with thousands of our customers visiting us at the South Hall of the LVCC. This NAB was bigger and better than ever before, with Blackmagic revealing the next generation of products for the editing and compositing communities - Multibridge Eclipse, HDLink Pro and Intensity Pro.

Featuring 3Gb/SDI, Multibridge Eclipse and the new HDLink Pro both introduced radical advancements in SDI, with both products being able to use a single BNC cable to complete 2K, dual link 444, HD-SDI and SD-SDI workflows.

Given the number of awards Blackmagic won this year (8 in total), it's fair to say, that Blackmagic is truly pushing the envelope with new products across the Multibridge, HDLink and Intensity product families.

Multibridge Eclipse received no less than four awards this NAB: a Pick Hit Award from Broadcast Engineering, a Vidy Award from Videography, a Top Innovation Award from Television Broadcast, and a Pick Hit Award from Millimeter.

Intensity Pro, the new HDMI editing card with component analog received no less than three awards: a Television Technology STAR Award, The Digital Content Producer Pick Hit Award, a Black Diamond Award from DV, with Intensity picking up an Innovation Award from the 4EVER Group.

NAB is as much about the user communities as it is about showcasing technology. This year Blackmagic was fortunate enough to be a contributor to the AB2007 Post Production World Conference, and sponsor of the IMUG's Media Motion Ball, Digital Cinema Society, and of course, the mighty FCPUG SuperMeet.

At the Media Motion Ball and the FCPUG SuperMeet, Dan May, Blackmagic's US President, was given the opportunity thank our customers for their kind feedback and input into our products. Its been an amazing start to the year, and we're very thankful to all those people that stopped by to say “hello” at the booth and the User-meets.
